A Caribbean View for Dennis

 

Dennis wished for a vacation in St. John and he and his family were treated to five nights in a comfortable resort villa overlooking Great Cruz Bay. The island heat found them frequently in the pool, swimming in the Caribbean waters, or enjoying the gentle breeze on the beach.

 

The highlight of the trip was a private boat excursion that 

granted Dennis access to remote areas in Hawksnest Bay 

and Watermelon Cay in St. John and locations in the British Virgin Islands. The sleek boat carried him from one destination to the next, with plenty of time for snorkeling, swimming, and beachcombing. At Sandy Spit, he and his family swam ashore to the pearly coral sand beach, which they had almost completely to themselves. “It was just one of the many magic moments,” says Dennis’ mother, Beth.

 

His week immersed in a Caribbean panorama helped Dennis expand his view beyond his illness and provided indelible memories that he will cherish. “Thank you, Make-A-Wish, for making Dennis’ dream come true,” says Beth. “We are very grateful to you.”
