Up Close & Personal...with a Make-A-Wish Monthly Tribute Donor

When Michael Dunsky began working in mortgage banking 18 years ago, he was excited to begin a new career -- and hopeful that he could use his business to serve the community.  "The idea of giving back meant a lot to me," said Dunsky, who is currently with Mortgage Master in Walpole, "and once I started to experience success, I knew I wanted to support a charity.

For the past eight years, Dunsky has served his community in an incredible way -- by participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Monthly Tribute Program.  Since 1998, he has contributed enough funds to fulfill wishes for 12 children!

Each month, Dunsky makes a contribution in honor of his clients and business partners.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation then sends personalized letters to inform them of Dunsky's tribute.  "We often get messages from them, thanking us," Dunsky said.  "We've also had people make a gift to Make-A-Wish in our honor, to say thank you."

"Illness takes its toll on the entire family.  We're helping these children and families take a break from the anguish, the treatments, the illness," Dunsky noted.  "It's a tremendous feeling to know that you can make a wish come true."
